Position Overview

We are looking for a highly professional individual with experience in sales and some martial arts experience. The ideal candidate will also have the right temperament to work with both children and adults. The Program Director is primarily responsible for helping new students navigate through our enrollment process, to market, recruit and retain students/customers. This will also include working closely with our leadership team to help members set goals that will lead to upgrades sales and renewals. The ideal candidate should have a passion for martial arts and a willingness to market our programs in the community, representing PMA at events, making sales calls, closing sales with families. You will use your people skills, sales savvy and passion to generate excitement for the martial arts!

The candidate will help achieve goals by partnering with the studio owners and head instructor to develop and provide a premium experience for our students.

You will play a key role in helping kids build grit, determination and the skills to deal with adversity, such as bullying.

Primary Duties:

  • Execute lead generation systems provided in monthly advertising and promotions
  • Follow and complete daily task and business statistics tracking in the PMA management manual
  • Accomplishing new membership monthly goals
  • Accomplishing upgrade goals for all upgrade programs
  • Oversee the basic experience of our students
  • Conduct introductory martial arts lessons for prospective students
  • Conduct placement tests and evaluations for upgrade conferences
  • Lead students through the PMA creed
  • Assist in motivating and building professional relationships with the students and families
  • Ensure the facility is clean, and safe, upholding PMA brand and standards
  • Event planning and execution. For example, Birthday parties, Parent’s Night Out (“PNO”) and White Belt Buddy Bash (WBBB”)
  • Execute local marketing and community outreach events
  • Collaborate with local education leaders and stakeholders
  • Schedule, promote, and conduct all in-school events
  • Represent Premier Martial Arts at community events
  • Complete on-going training in Premier Martial Arts skills and systems
  • Learn PMA martial arts techniques to back-up the Lead Instructor with classes, if required
Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 mo+ years of customer sales experience
  • 1+ year of martial arts training, preferred
  • Will pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Experience and passion for working with parents and children ages 4-12 years
  • Has proven experience as a sales professional who consistently meets or exceeds revenue goals
  • Is comfortable presenting to a wide range of audiences; parents, educators, students
  • Prior experience teaching Martial Arts to students of varying ages and fitness levels
  • Physically agile and willingness to teach classes if required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to be a team player
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills with the capacity to command attention
  • Respectful and supportive of studio owner and leadership
  • Strong event planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer/phone skills and capacity to learn the software used to run the studio

Compensation: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
