OVERVIEW
Premier Martial Arts of Fox Valley (PMA) is on a journey to impact the lives of children and adults in the Fox Valley area.  We are looking for a few exceptional team members with a "can-do" attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to join our Promotional Events Team!!

This is "gig work" and you would be paid a flat rate per event (not hourly) plus a bonus for anyone who becomes a member (you can earn $250 to $500 in bonus money per event).

As a team member of our Promotional Events team, you should be well-organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to engage with a variety of people coming from backgrounds and age groups, and always maintain a friendly, helpful demeanor. Think Disney!  Excellent communication and attention to detail are vital in this role and will contribute to successful events resulting in future students in our programs.

You will work closely with our Program Director to develop, plan, organize, and execute high-quality/engaging community events, workshops, and camps from conception through execution. You will be supporting event preparation and execution, such as event setup, ensuring all members and guests receive white glove service, and evaluating success afterward.

Examples:
  • Children's birthday parties (4 per weekend)
  • Parent's Night Out event (usually the 3rd Friday of each month)
  • Special workshops and orientation classes (Saturday mornings)
  • Local school events and fundraisers
  • Martial Arts Demonstrations (Saturday mornings)
  • Holiday and seasonal events
  • Summer/Winter Camps

Responsibilities:
  • Work with the team to research and identify event opportunities
  • Call and set up the promotional event
  • Work with the team to promote the event and track registrants 
  • Learn and present the programming /or workshop material for the event
  • Ensure an excellent level of customer service during the event
  • Ensures event site stays clean, safe, and organized
  • Lead games and provide direction to kids and parents
  • Take videos and pictures to post on our social media sites 
  • Capture lead information and support the follow-up process
  • Pack up equipment when the event is completed

Qualifications:
  • MUST love working with kids
  •  Prior experience with organic lead generation / promotional events REQUIRED
  • Coachable attitude and willingness to pitch in
  • Applicants MUST have reliable transportation to/from events
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and charming/fun demeanor
  • Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or child care is a PLUS
  • Strong organizational skills are a MUST
  • MUST be deadline and detail-oriented with a results-orientation 
Compensation: $30.00 per day
