Overview:
Premier Martial Arts of Fox Valley (PMA) is embarking on a journey to impact the lives of children (and adults) in the Fox Valley area.

The beauty of martial arts training is that it teaches self-discipline and focus which can make a positive impact on people’s lives. There are very few career paths that allow you to have genuine job satisfaction and financial success!

A successful person in this role will have an outgoing personality and demonstrates a genuinely caring attitude toward the people they serve. In short, we are looking for people who are humble, hungry, and smart!


Job Summary:
An instructor at Premier Martial Arts is someone who is passionate about changing lives through day-to-day martial arts instruction. Having an outgoing leadership-driven personality is a must.  Our instructors not only teach martial arts, but more importantly, they inspire others to become the best version of themselves.  A PMA instructor utilizes the tools given to them to impact as many people as possible, is always a student, and never lets their ego get the best of them. A learning attitude is key to the success of this position.
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Instruct classes in a high-energy, “edutainment” format using PMA’s proven methodology.
  • Oversee student ranking, tracking/reporting, belt testing, and graduations.
  • Serve as a role model, standard-bearer, and character educator for our students.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students and their families.
  • Assist with management of the studio (class schedules, supplies, and merchandise ordering).
  • Conduct introduction classes for large groups in local community settings.
  • Ensure the studio is clean (daily sanitizing) and upholds the PMA brand standards.
  • Complete ongoing PMA skills training and instructional learning on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to personal development and growth.
  • Assist the Sales Manager with marketing and lead generation programs.
  • Achieve membership upgrade goals and student retention goals.
  • Develop relationships with community leaders and local educators in the school district.
  • Represent PMA at promotional activities and special events.
  • Participate and lead regional PMA tournaments.
 
Qualifications:
  • Blackbelt AND 3+ years of instructional experience in martial arts
  • Interest and passion in childhood development is a must. 
  •  Growth mindset: Must be willing to receive and implement feedback rapidly 
  • Available evenings and weekends.
  • Must complete a successful background check.

Available Shifts/Classes
  • Monday-Friday 8am-9pm
  • Saturday & Sunday 8am-4pm

  • Instructor Performance College
  • Certified Instructor Training Courses 
  • Annual Conference with over 1,000 PMA team members
  • Premier Martial Arts Tournament Circuit 
 
Upward Mobility Available:
  • Head Instructor 
  • General Manager
  • Ownership of your own studio

Compensation: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
